Bowser's Incompetence: Yay or Nay?

Yeah, he can breath fire, scoop you up and bite the **** out of you, and let's not forget his Giga Bowser transformation.

My opinion exactly, Bowser was never very smart. The only thing that has really changed is his goofiness and growing crush on Peach. And even when he's not the villain, he's only helping Mario out because there's a worse villain on the loose; he doesn't want anyone more evil than himself out there.

How smart is Mario for jumpnig on a sharp object? Good thing those plumbing boots are so heavy duty.

For all Ganondorf/Ganon knew, Link was just a mere young boy who was foolish enough to oppose him and stop whatever he's doing.

And if you've read up on the recent plot development in Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser had kidnapped Peach during some star storm or something that occurs every 100 years, so yeah, he's pretty much the de facto villain this time, rather than taking a backseat to another villain.

I really wish he'd be evil again.
Though with a tinge of comic relief.

I think he's evil enough. And he's Bowser, he's awesome regardless.

Bowser happens to be one of the goofier villains, accept it. Taking away certain parts of his personality just seems like it would serve to make his character that much less interesting (and more like a generic bad guy).

Bower being a goofy villain doesn't eliminate the possibility of him doing some real evil things either. It seemed like he came very close to killing Mario very early into Paper Mario.

As for him not being the main villain every time, would you really find it believable that Bowser and his follower are the only creatures in the Mushroom Kingdom that want to do evil things?

It's more like comic relief with a tinge of evil.

I like the evil Bowser, but with humor, not that "RAR I'M GONNA KILL YOU AND ***K THE PRINCESS TO BE THE KING OF THE MUSHROOM WORLLLD AND KILL ALL ****ING TOADS OVER THER" Bowser.

Basically, the New Super Mario Bros. Bowser is perfect. The Mario Party one is meh, because they make this like stealing a star be something EVIL. Peper Bowser REALLY SUCKS.


Also, the evil Bowser DOES LIKE Peach, and that's the main reason for him to don't like of Mario (but not want to KILL him bleh). But his main intention is to marry her to be the king, not to....marry her. If he was the king, he still would worry for Peach, in a " She's not trying to escape from the castle, right?" way.

i don't think the mario characters were ever meant to be taken that seriously, hint hint.
a fat plumber saving a princess from some giant dinosaur thingy? no.
(i love the games fyi there's a REASON i'm at a mario site so no bashing please duh.) but... yeah.

i like the comic relief bowser more because i mean, he's not always just comical. they never have totally funny bowser, it's either all-the-way evil or funny but at the same time scheming! :o

That's not what the poll or the thread is asking.

I like both Bowser's.
Both aren't very smart.

In a literary kind of way, it sort of is asking that question.

Plain, evil Bowser is kinda flat and uninteresting. People aren't generally interested in what happens to a character with a simple personality.

The funny Bowser is more 3D 'cuz he's more than just another badguy out to take over the world. He has other aspects to his personality that make his character more interesting.

Though I'm not sure if that's what he meant when he posted it...

i'd have to vote Goofy Bowser, why?
becouse they WAY he is now, i never really see him as a HUGE threat.

Yes, he WAS cooler befor, but i Could never "GET BACK" to that.

i can never see him as the BAD BAD guy anymore (ex:like Ganon) who takes/Destroys the world.

like in Yoshi island-2 hes gonna take the "univers" i was like:
phff YOU? yeah right.
But other villans, i really DO feal like there is a "RISK"

so even if they DO go back, i will never Feal him as a "threat" again.
