Apparently this problem has gone on for quite some time, as there are some pretty old posts on the internet concerning this exact thing. <_<

I'm trying to put the stuff from this computer onto my laptop, both of which run on Windows XP Home Edition Service Package 2. I put the files on an external hard drive using the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard and proceded to connect the hard drive to my lappy. For whatever reason, the FAST Wizard doesn't acknowledge the files exist, even after I tried copying them to the desktop.

I don't know what else to say except that this is rather urgent and I need this problem fixed in twelve hours or I wait a week to try again. I'm going to attempt to "make a Wizard disk" with my little 2GB USB thing.

Please, this is very important.

This might not work, but try changing the extensions of your .DATS and then back when they're transferred?

...what would that do?

Update: I can't seem to get the Wizard to bring up the option of making a wizard disk again. This isn't good. :<

Do you really need the settings too?

Just drag 'n drop some of the more important files.

Except I already tried that :V

According to a very helpful site I found, it turns out the .dat files were corrupt. Recreating them.
