I'm not sure if this topic has been done before, but I searched and couldn't find anything. But anyway, this topic's purpose is to discuss the things found in earlier trailers and/or screens that didn't make it into Twilight Princess that you kinda wish made the cut. I'll make a list of stuff that I noticed didn't make it in. Be sure to finish my list if I didn't name everything. Also, make it known that this isn't a rant topic, but a topic to discuss things taken out of the game. I don't want to see 100 "omfg thundre rantz agayn!!!11" posts.
*The infamous open ended forest seen in the first 3 trailers. Everyone knows about this, and everyone dreads for what could of been an awesome area, but was taken out. The open ended forest from 3 trailers looked fantastic, and I have absoultely no idea why they took it out. Also, in the second trailer it looked more than just trees scattered randomly like most people seem to think is the reason that it was taken out. In the second trailer there were pillars that you could probably climb on, there was a graveyard filled with skeletal boars, and there was even a brighter part of the forest that contained kittens.
*The tree giant. He was seen in the second trailer and in one screenshot. I'm almost 100% sure that he was an early version of the two giants that guard the Master Sword, but for some reason they replaced his mysterious tree and "forest" like texture with an almost machine like look to him.
*The fire temple from the first trailer was also taken out. That temple looked pretty cool to be honest, though I have a feeling that it was an early version of the SnowPeak Mansion for a number of reasons. For one, they both appear to be "mansions" or "castles" of some sort. Also, the fire temple contained weapons on the wall, much like the SnowPeak Mansion. I could be wrong though.
*Moblins all together were taken out. In the first trailer and first batch of screens we saw a "maturified" version of the Wind Waker Moblins. They had freaky masks on and carried large weapons, much like in Wind Waker. The only visible difference was that they just looked more detailed and "mature", for a lack of a better word.
*A "spirit" temple. In some old screens (And in trailer 2 as well) there was a "spirit" like temple seen. I'm not exactly sure what it was supposed to be, but it looked either like a spirit temple or an early Temple of Time. I'm not sure how to describe it, but this screen might job your memory. This wasn't anything I was super anticipating, but it looked kinda cool.
*An early fishing hole, or possibley Lake Hylia, perhaps? This area sort of interested me, but to be honest, it was probably just an early Lake Hylia or something. Nothing too interesting. It looked alot mossier though.
*A VERY different looking Hyrule Castle. In the very old version of Twilight Princess, Hyrule Castle Town was non-existant, and in it's place is just plain old Hyrule Castle. Except this Hyrule Castle looked MUCH different. It seemed alot darker, and apparently had life in it, as the lights are on in it. Also, the textures on the pillars outside Hyrule Castle seemed to be reused on the pillars near the two bridges. After looking at the old screens, this Zelda game might of been alot darker had it been released earlier. Everything just seemed darker, which brings me to my next point.
*The ghosts in Hyrule sewers looked much darker and scarier than the current spirits seen in the game. This was something that dissapointed me greatly. In early Twilight Princess, instead of the funny cartoon like ghosts we were supposed to get scary and realistic looking ones. I would of MUCH prefered if the Twilight Ghosts looked like those ghosts instead of the stupid looking ones we got now. Whether or not the plot changed is beyond me, though this was one of the only areas seen in the early trailers that remained in the game, besides the the Balrog looking boss that I forgot the name to.
That's all I can remember not being included, I'm sure there's more though. Anyway, discuss these features taken out of the game. It makes me wish Nintendo offered a "making of" art book or special disc to come with the game (Or even buyable in stores), because I'd like to know alot more about these features, levels, enemies and more.
