I mean, I thought that's what sprite comps were about. Anyway, might enter, but I'm not entering for a badge. I'm pretty dang sure I won't win with the amount of good artists.

I tried that but some whiners wouldn't stop complaining about it. If you win, you can do what you want.

Nice so far. Might I suggest (for the future of this WIP) a SWISH thing? ...Like a afterimage/trail thing.
