We're going to give that ad inventory to premium print account holders, and some to our subscription service and other such things. The ads will ask visitors to your pages to buy prints accounts and subscriptions FOR YOU! But as usual, subscribers see no ads anywhere anyway.

So they're going to kill ads on the top. Neat...
But DA ads on userpages? How the HELL is this gonna look? And did it say that this only for prints holders and subs? I'm confused.

As much as it pains me, DA is terribly, terribly anal about submissions. They're an "art" community, and like to see "original" pieces of work. They don't like to see music that isn't composed by you in flash animations, whereas the skills of the animator don't lie in music, and without music attention isn't drawn very well.

They also don't like sprite edits cause the sprites weren't yours to begin with. What really irks me is that Sega has given people permission to fan-edit sprites on a non-profit basis, yet DA still insists on getting rid of what they don't feel to be art.

I can see deleting someone who uploaded a pic he found online to show friends, or a maganize scan, but using a clip of a song in an animation? ONOS DELETE.

Yeah, okay, so "original" on DA is naked chick with legs wide open, camera all in it? I'm sorry, there's a whole lotta that on DA.

But you bring something original and interesting to the table for once and the little fools go and nuke it off the server. I had about 21 game demos, many of which were my own games (not even fangames) and that moron Sycho felt like he was being a hero by having it all deleted.

DA's long gone to hell and there's no chance in it coming back unless God comes down from heaven and smites all the Nazis that call themselves admins.

What category did you put it under?

Also once I asked about music being put to DA, and they proclaimed that this is a visual art website, and while music is art, they don't deal with audial art.

I don't know if games would go under "visual art". I'm sorry if I look like I'm backing DA up on everything but I try to think of an explanation to why **** happens there.

Nah, I don't feel that way.

Actually, I put it in Indy Art (when they had it, anyway). It seemed like the right place for it. They even had a section in Indy Art called "Game".
