and oh my god it’s YOURS Group: Members Posts: 4749 Member No.: 48 Joined: 13-October 03 Status: (0d)	The Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland sprites are far different from the Mario and Luigi sprites. The K:NiD ones have outlines just like the Mario and Luigi ones, except they lack the outline. The shading style is alot different though, usually containing more shades, and also, while enemies are restricted to what can fit in the ram with some exceptions like the Meta Knight battle, Kirby has as many frames as he wants, the walking one has about 8 uniqe frames! The Mario and Luigi ones are different, they usually have less frames per animation, yet they still have nice cartoony animation! The enemies are done in a different way too, being composed of multiple parts that move, rotate, and change tiles, possibly for space or time reasons. According to the credits, there was a separate person that made the Mario and Luigi sprites, and one that made the battle and overworld ones, or possibly those being two different ones too, I forgot. That's all I have to say... Oh, one more thing, Master Kritter, may you explain the formula for where to placeith the grey antialias dots on a Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga sprite? -------------------- -would like to borrow 800 some dollars to buy a book- Gunpei Yokoi in Credits - is being sadly neglected, sorry :( Refrence (details)(Design by Jay) Also available in classic(Drawn by Press Start) ignore this [Still an Operation Sam participant]

Unregistered	Basically in every corner of the sprite, but only one dot per corner, and never on any side lines either, only corners. That's a crappy explanation but I can't be bothered to draw a pic. And the colour of the dots are 80 80 80, which will make them gray. If you want to see what I mean, just look on page 1 of this topic or even at my avatar.

I think I understand what you mean. Any right angles in the sprite's outline need grey corners otherwise they look square, right?
