Well, if the Spy suit comes out it'll be a bit more useful.

That is, if the Spy suit is actually fire-retardant

It might get more use seeing as how the threat of the flamer/axtinguisher will be reduced for him, but still: he's a 125 HP class that can be downed easily with the shotgun while you keep that axtinguisher for those pesky Heavies. (Or Soldiers if you feel like it. Demomen too.)

That's pretty unlikely. Besides...

QUOTE (Pyro Strategy)
The fire axe is the melee weapon of the Pyro and is usually infrequently used given that the Pyro's primary and secondary weapons also excel at close range and offer superior damage output.

QUOTE (Fire Axe)
Damage

    * Base: 65 (59 to 72 damage)
    * Mini-Crit: 88
    * Critical Hit: 195

Damages are approximate and determined by community testing.

"TF2 Beta time

Also some rumors of Sandvich changes:
QUOTE
Alt-fire on the Sandvich now drops sandviches:

1. A single sandvich can be dropped at a time. Dropping the sandvich removes it from the Heavy.
2. A Heavy can regain his sandvich by collecting a healthkit while already being at full health.
3. Eating a sandvich using the taunt method now heals a Heavy to full health.
4. Dropped sandviches heal 50% of the collector's health.

And this rumor
QUOTE
Their working on the meet the [Pyro] video, eric told me in a dustbowl match.

One quick note about the Blut Beta 4, the Beta testers say that there is a buff to the SG which increases regen rate for Medic. The -2 hp per sec on the Blut will bring the Medic down to current regen rate.

Overhealer returns
New Blutsauger beta
Backpack changes.

QUOTE (Dracon @ Sep 12 2009, 06:32 PM)
Flare puts you at a disadvantage against Scouts and Pyros plus the shotgun is much more forgiving and you kill things faster with it. Sure, Flare can help in taking out sentries and annoying Snipers but I still prefer the shotgun.

As a Pyro, I'm always at a disadvantage underwater because I usually have the Flare Gun equipped and as a result I get raped by Scouts, shotgun-wielding Pyros, and sometimes even Soldiers.

Doesn't help that I'm horrible at underwater combat with all classes period.

SG?

edit: syringe gun
edit2: so it's not actually a buff to the syringe gun but a buff to the medic as a whole

Well, it'd only be justified if the taunt animation is longer/louder as it's taking more risks.

Well they've gotta give eating the sandvich some perk. If they don't, then the Heavy can just drop it and pick it up to heal, instead. He'll get more that way.

I assume either Sandvich heavies cannot eat their own dropped, or they can't eat dropped sandviches period while having none

also does this make it one-time use because that would be LAME

You get it back by picking up health while at full health, it says.
