40 dmg avg a boolet isntead of 50 dmg avg a boolet isn't much of a difference for that slow down bonus

also nat with kgb is gonna be an awesome combo

I was totally going to consider trying a server with that out but then it was like "instant respawn and no crits" and I was like >:(

Well start it as early possible, because living in Britland and all. Im not good at being awake either.

dude what it means is instead after 0 you get "PREPARE FOR RESPAWN" you respawn



and crits ruin this game imo

the only crits i like are the ones that aren't luck based

So guys, how do I make Team Fortress 2 run?
The pixel shader is the problem or something, whenever I try play it it says "Pixel Shader 1.1 must be supported to run this game" or something.

Everything on my moniter is pixelated now because of it.

-DIRECTX 8-
DirectX 8 is exactly what it sounds like. It forces TF2 to run in DirectX 8 compatibility mode, which at the cost of the shiny phong shading and dazzling particle effects, gives you a big boost in FPS (most of the time). This command isn't just limited to TF2 - it works for all games which use the Source engine (HL2, Portal, etc).

1) Open up Steam and go to your My Games tab.
2) Right-click on TF2 and click Properties
3) In the window that opens afterwards, click on the button that says "Set Launch Options..."
4) Type in -dxlevel 81 into the text box that shows up, hit okay, and then start TF2
5) After TF2 has loaded, exit out of it and then go back and remove the -dxlevel 81 part from your launch options.
6) Success! TF2 is now in DirectX 8.1 mode! Enjoy your boosted framerate at the cost of eyecandy.

At the Sasha or Natascha question:

Sasha. I usually expect a medic to accompany me, and the point of Natascha is to stop lone heavies dying so much. If I'm a heavy and there aren't any medics, I'm either doing Melee only or going to change to something different.


Speaking of opinions, what classes are you guys playing the most?

For me, it's Spy, Scout and Engineer. Spy is my favourite. It's always so fun to get chain stab and mass destructions! One time, on Dust Bowl, the attacker's base teleporters were all just lined up outside their spawn. I sapped them all, and got away with it. I laughed like a maniac into the microphone. (Old story but rad)

I play Scout because waiting is crap. I usually just shoot everything as I run past them.

Engineer? Dunno.

there a glitch i really like now if you switch in spawn fast enough you will see the model you had before but with with the weapons of the class you picked

the scout is outrunning the sentry gun placed in the corner and grabbing the intelligence at furious speed, possibly due to the person controlling the scout using a very advanced technique or possibly a cheat or hack

It's a mod, I think it was called "turbotf2" or something.
