Heavies already have 300 hp, they don't need to be able to heal. That's a bit much. If crits for five seconds and being able to slow enemies down doesn't help you, well, you aren't very good.

Taunts would definitly balance it out quite a bit. It depends on how long and how much hp, though.

Am I the only one thinking this update really sucks? I mean, the new Meet The Class is great and the maps aswell, but the updates to the heavy are so unoriginal.

They're pretty much the same, take away some speed/damage/crit and add a useless feature that doesn't really make a new weapon but rather a weapon with a small modification.

The only weapons I think have been decent so far are the Blitzkrieg and Flare Gun.

But hey that's just my opinion.

The point of the new weapons is to give a balanced choice to a player, but both somehow work the same way (the Kritskrieg is a medigun and works almost the same, the Flaregun is long range like the shotgun kind of is). For instance, the slowing effect of Natascha is bound to be seen all over the place when the update comes out, but when people realize that a heavymedic w/Sasha will own a heavymedic w/Natascha, people will start to make their decisions properly. Also, if you don't like the update weapons, just use the older ones. I only switch to the flaregun on VERY open maps, (Goldrush, Granary) and usually stick to the shotgun as it's got potential hurt.

It's alright on defense, but considering crits don't effect engie buildings make it worthless on offense


considering it charges 10% faster than a normal medigun is.. cool I guess, and it can make a defense heavy devastating.

FlareGun was orginal.. but i think it sucks imo

the Kritzkreig is orginal put i perfer uber

the Ubersaw i think its fine

the boxing gloves... THE MOST HORRIABLE PEACE OF **** EVER!!!

i mean its hard enough to kill an enemy with your fist so now its slower firing rates? besides that the few secounds of 100% crits is a crap idea.. i mean what if you punch down an enemy. now when you look around theres no other enemies.. the critz go to waste!

I agree with this. I've seen a heavy punch someone on a serious server, having slower firing rate won't help that a bit.

But I guess it makes sense, having it since it helps the medics with that one heavy punchout achievement.

The whole punching thing is balanced out by stupidly slow movement and swing speed, which'll be easily evaded by anybody who isn't another heavy. The crit time is also useless unless you're willing to punch more people or use the shotgun (you'd be left with about 2 seconds of minigun time otherwise), so the only incentive I can see to the KGBs are that they're freakin' boxing gloves.

tl;dr: Slowness is an overbalancer, but hey, it's boxing gloves!

I'd say that the boxing gloves should do a punch to an opponant so that he gets thrown back in the air like the compression blast. This is useful if another heavy is shooting your team mates, and you can make him gtfo.

Maybe it doesn't really matter and isn't that much slower. I mean, isn't the ubersaw slower?

this sounds so useless because then you just pushed them out of range of your melee and give them time to shoot you.
