Team Fortress 2, and my ideas for it

So I'm having a problem with my mic and TF2. I'm talking ONLY TF2. When I try any recording tool or on other Source games it works fine, but occasionally on TF2 when I try to talk it "sounds like grizzly bears fighting".

I THINK it's also happened on GMod though but I'm not sure. and I know it's not the mic itself because it's been happening forever and in the time I've played TF2 I've gone through at least 3 different headsets.

Happens to me... sometimes. It's a problem usually solved by restarting your steam, but I use vent (clan***, I know) so I don't bother usually. If that doesn;t work and it persists, try toggling the Mic Gain Boost setting and fiddling bout with the other stuff.

Is this what happens? If so, then you'll want to press your ToggleWAV button, then press it again and it should restore.

Yeah, but he may have been using HLSS, and it stuck on ToggleWAV.

If it was HLSS I would have mentioned it's HLSS. But I do not use it so it's not the problem at all.

Hmm... Dare I say it, but, um if you really want to play on the original CP maps so desperately, there are these 4 servers I play on that play all the originals. Though they are typically completely full, though you'll just have to wait roughly 2-10 minutes before a slot opens. Also another thing to bare in mind is that it's a furry friendly server, so be prepared to see the occassional yiff spray (no more common than seeing a pr0n spray on any other server though). But I know a lot of non-furries who play on them. So who wants?
