The newest version of the soundpack should be out by this morning! It will include an almost complete Laharl Soldier, as well as plenty of new announcer clips and other goodies! The amount of stupid models included this time will be drastically less as I am the one uploading it this time instead of Lupo (silly ****er put his entire damn skin collection in the last one, lol)

What noises do the sentries make?

Sentries in the soundpack since the first release have had Mech-Hisui's voice, but I think I'm gonna change it to the CHEFBOT-9000 from the Prinny game at some point or another.

delete anything in the weapons sound folder that starts with stickybomblauncher

Impossible to fix according to steam forums.
So yeah, no more tf2an for me.

So far I've tried:
Reinstalling my network card
Deleting and reinstalling steam about 6 times
Deleted blobs
Deleted random files in the steam directory
Installed it on a different drive letter
Installed it on a USB stick (i dunno why..)
Restarted my router
Reset my router
Added steam to routers port forwarding system
Disabled all firewalls I have, enabled one or two
Disabled and re-enabled windows services
Editing the registry, getting rid of steam keys before reinstalling

In short, I don't know whats wrong, and nobody seems to be able to provide a solution for this problem.

your router have an overzealous firewall?

or maybe your antivirus does?

Turned off router firewall.

No antivirus installed.

Edit: Fixed it. All I had to do was reinstall vista.

So, for my ICT coursework, I need resources. For a C Grade (which is average- Im predicted A/B which is awesome) I need three videos. Seeing as I have Multi-User Games as a section, I was thinking of recording a demo of TF2, but I was was wondering what the best thing to record would be. Use Steam, or get FRAPs or something?

1) Start up TF2
2) Join server
3) type

in console
4) When done, type stop in console
5) Exit server, start up FRAPS
6) Open console, type

, press F5 to record with FRAPS


At least, that's how I THINK it's done.

Also downloading the soundpack, will give my opinion later.

here, let me help you there

1. Start TF2
2. Join server
3. Type "record <filename>" in the console to begin recording a demo
4. Type stop in the console when you're done recording
5. Type "startmovie <filename> avi" in the console and choose a codec (make sure you're in windowed mode)
6. Type "host_framerate 30" in the console
7. Type "playdemo <filename of the recorded demo>" in the console
8. Watch it go really slow to the end
9. When it stops type "endmovie" in the console

PMXD's mostly right on how to do it, but don't do host_framerate 30. that's just silly.

also I recommend using the ffdshow codec (edit the settings and set quality to 100 though) for recordan, you can get it by downloading the CCCP
