Well I would say we're arguing semantics but you don't seem to think shotguns don't use buckshot(which doesn't refer to a specific material in the shot composition, unlike oh, say leadshot, which is used in older shotguns). As long as you're not using a rifled shotgun it's very likely you're using buckshot for anything larger than birds. If you are hunting birds, you're likely using birdshot. If you're a redneck hunting rats, or other varmints, you're probably using ratshot. The operative word in each of those portmanteaus being shot, which IS IN FACT THE TERM FOR THE ACTUAL PROJECTILES FIRED BY SHOTGUNS, HOLY **** STOP THE PRESSES.
Moreover, typically when referring to guns and munitions for said guns, pellets refer not to shot, but to nonspherical projectiles intended for air rifles, just, y'know, fyi.
Wanna toss out any more cool, edgy, and completely uneducated arguments out there or are you done for now?
