back on topic:

Ideas for spy weapons:
Sliding/throwable sapper: Can be thrown (or slid) a short distance and saps nearby objects without needing to touch them,
can be knocked away (once knocked away self distructs, also sd's if it misses an object to start sapping) by any weapon of any member of team. especially compression blast.

Dopple-Ganker : disguise kit replacement that when you kill a class you instantly and stealthily auto-disguise as that class. Best for uncloaking backstabs. but you can no longer choose your disguise and once you attack you are again disguise-less.

eh, nothing special about the knifeplay, but the disguising effect was neat and different (although probably only for cinematic reasons but still...) :V
