QUOTE (jasonorme666 @ Sep 30 2007, 10:31 AM)
A band would be the easiest option in every case, but thats not why I make music.

I play the keyboard/piano as its relaxing, a hobby and satisfying.
My aim isn't to make money or anything, just to simply create tracks that I and others can enjoy.

I couldn't have said it better myself. cool2.gif

Except for the fact that I'm planning on selling my music so this last statement seems completely pointless.

Another problem I seem to be having, which I keep trying to sort is the volume.
While creating my track it plays back through my keyboard, so the volume is as loud of the keyboard is set.

But when its not playing through the keyboard and playing through my PC speakers, its very quiet.

On volume control everything is on full, my volume of my speakers is set to how it is when listening to any music / playing any game etc, unyet when my track is played back in midi form I have to really turn my volume up.

I've tried sending it to programs to amplifi it, but it then goes all distorted and unlistenable.

Any clue as to what this might be?

Either your MIDI chord sucks, or the drivers for your MIDI suck, or your keyboard just plain and simply doesn't have enough volume to it.

You could always just use an audio editor (a free one like Audacity works quite well) to increase the volume of your final render to a sufficient level.

Unfortunatly it seems that audacity cannot import midis, tried importing raw data but I just get static.

Tried amplifi before on it, but it just goes horribly distorted and unlistenable.

Keyboard volume doesnt seem to be the issue, and I've never had program with sound blaster card before.

It sounds kind of repetitive, and somehow reminds me of Assface in Crapland (not a flame, I still somehow have this game) and Pothead, both games in which you wrote music for.

Though repetitive, it sounds smooth, although better instruments could have been used.

I can still edit my signature.

Yup, as it is now the 30th day of May in the year of 2010.

Dispite being repetitive, its still more varied than your average dance track.

As for those 2 games, I have them in a folder on one of my external hard drives somwhere, 2 bad games, made bad for the purpose of being bad (that too went for the music, which was made using some japanese midi maker that required no effort).

Well, I meant just turn up the volume on the wav/mp3 file once you're done rendering it, but I guess that doesn't help you as you're playing it.
