I don't quite see how people even think this is possible. It's an EXTREMELY difficult* algorithm to attempt to calculate tones and convert differentiating notes into MIDI format.
In short, as said, it is impossible to convert a wav to midi, as wav's and mp3's and ogg's and all formats that have no tracking data are just an audio format. Audio doesn't work with MIDI, as .mid files are not audio, but rather an internal instrument set into a tracker.
Now, you can listen to the wav file and compose your own .mid file from it, but there is no way you can convert wav directly to a .mid file... at least, none that I know, and if there is, it is going to be completely and utterly lousy to the point where it's just noise.
*Note: By "EXTREMELY difficult," I mean pretty much impossible.
