Even though you've used 3 shades of purple, all I see at first glance is a light, a dark, and pure black. I think this is a contrast issue. Try putting more space between the HUE/Saturation/Luminance in the different colours. I also think that the yellow on the hat could do with a little bit more saturation, it's almost falling into the same scheme as the purple. I'd also recommend putting the saturation levels up a bit in the red, and just slightly changing the HUE towards orange. It should give the hair an overall better look, taking away that bordering gray lighter shade. As far as the lines go, they're smooth and well AA'd to the colours. The shading on parts of the hands seems a bit rough. Maybe try re-locating the thumbs to make the shape of the hands smoother and cleaner. Overall it looks cool. =] -------------------- TF2 Backpack

You may want to use dithering for the shading and use a hue shifting element in the pallette. Also, try to use light sources on the lineart as well.
