I say they should take out the board game bit. The minigames are the whole point, and the main fun part. The board game is just a slow, skill-less boring waiting-around session. Just have lots of minigames.

I wish they would do that too. The board game part just isn't kickin' it, so to speak. However, they should have like SOMETHING to fill in for the board.

Maybe a free-roaming M64-like level, which players explore in split screen. Minigames could happen every 2 minutes or so.

That would be a pretty cool idea. And like, have these challenges for Stars? Like "get to the top of the summit" ect. They would act like the original stars in The other games.

Geez, Mario Party's sure gone downhill since the first game.

The first Party was awesome.

The second one ditched some of the cool features of the first.

The third just b****slapped me in the face for no apparent reason and to this day, I still don't understand how one of my favorite game series could do that to me.

The fourth Mario Party was actually kinda refreshing. Everything was in 3-D and they had awesome boards, soundtracks, graphics, and et cetera.

Mario Party 5, I just couldn't force myself to sit down long enough and enjoy it.

And now Mario Party 6? With a mike? The hell is this? Hey You, Pikachu!?

I would quote Psyguy right now, but the lot of you would kill me for having done so.

I actually think MP6 looks better than MP5 (anything is) from a video preview I saw. Gameplay looks... less than admirable. You no longer buy stars. Everyone has 5 stars, and you ride Chain Chomp to run people over and steal their star. I'm not too fond about that, but the minigames look fairly good.
Especially since you get to scream "BULLET BILL" and not sound like a moron.

But that doesn't mean it won't be crappy.

Except in Mario 64 DS you don't get random minigames flashing up in your face every few minutes soveryhappy.gif

Hmm now I'm doubting if Mario Party 6 will even get released in Europe, what with all our silly languages. That Pikachu game didn't. Oh well.
