EDIT: New video. See below. Before I say anything, I want to get this out: I'm not making any promises. There. So recently I put this cryptic but otherwise not notable image in my sig that just said "9\Æiv-i." I was going to drag this on for a while, but I'm getting kind of antsy, so here we go. 9\Æiv-i is the code name of the project I'm currently working on. Production on this project began back in January 2005. Since then, it's seen several hiatuses and a few cancellations. I really wouldn't even be talking about this project now were it not for the fact that I thrive on feedback and really want to see this finished. 9\Æiv-i is Super Mario Epic 3. I started working on it again about a month or two ago. Most of that work has been focused on Level 4-1, tentatively titled simply "The Forest."I'll probably post a video of this level later. It's actually pretty neat. As you can see in the screens, there are enemies in bubbles a la SMW (not seen in this screen are the springs and various Mushrooms also in bubbles). The level also has those ants from SML2 (their behavior is essentially the same as Goombas except that they walk more slowly; I only included them because I really wanted an SML2 reference in this level because of how SMW-heavy it is, plus I like the "dead" sprite I created for them), Wigglers, and those red spiky ? Blocks from NSMB that rotate. I'm not saying this project is ever going to be completed. It's still really buggy, and with my having a job I have even less time than I did before to work on this. The thing is, I started work on the first SME back in December 2002--that's almost five years ago. I consider the trilogy to be one complete work, so it'd be a real shame if something I spent a quarter of my life hammering away on was ended prematurely. Anyway, comments? Does anybody even care about SME3 at this point?
