You could make the arm as if the joints and pieces were loosely stuck together.

hmm, okay so i'm pulling that arm closer, but then it looks like it lacks mobility and it'll just be a giant tube stuck to the body

And if you make it like one of those slink-springs or however are they called?

then it would look extremely silly

symmetrical legs
make right arm more angled, it's kinda awkward and stiff looking
extend left arm
give it a gun or something
