I've been really starting to wonder if I'm really not as valued here at much as I used to be, if all that time was pretty much in the past. This pretty much helps my suspicions..
What can I do to regain some of that? I don't want to be useless/disliked.

Surely from doing all that work on the site you realized 90% of the boards don't visit the site anymore, it's a totally different audience

Yeah, that seems somewhat biased for some reason.
I would have suggested that there should be some site-oriented awards, but I see there are plenty.
EDIT: Though they're mostly fangame oriented.

Also, please explain how it is it "just" a message board if we're giving away awards for member contribution and worth for people who have been here/committed a long time

because you are taking seriously the awards that aren't meant to be taken THAT seriously to the point where you are questioning your worth here

at the end it's a fun little badge that goes into your collection, not the noble piece prize
