Wayward Vagabond Group: Members Posts: 1763 Member No.: 3159 Joined: 7-January 07 Status: (0d)	Okay, my computer, which has been had to play in safe mode[ ] for about a year now, and it had no problems with this before, but DirectX and GM6 aren't working. On a side note: is safe mode supposed to have sound at all? Because with gamemaker it says "Failed to initilize Direct Music Audio" and then "Failed to initilize drawing surfaces. Please check that you graphics card meets the minimum requirements and that your drivers are up-to-date. If your graphics card has little memory, try switching your computer to a lower resolution." Oh, and I have already checked the minimum requirements, AND my drivers are up-to-date. DMA, I don't know what that is, so... -------------------- Click banner for reference.

Safe mode with networking, F8 on XP during start-up and you'll find it.

Safe mode only loads the basic drivers to get Windows running. Fix the problem (http://hazmeister.atspace.com/tech_support/help/art01/index.htm), or re-install Windows.
