Yeah, another engine test.
controls:
shift: jump
arrow keys: move
ctrl: run
a little bit glitchy, but still my best one yet

It was too short.
You should try to expand your first level, because there is no ground, when I go past some kind of platform.

When you start the gun, Luigi starts running on the spot. He moves too slowly (Run button please), and his jumps are too floaty, even for Luigi. Also variable jumping would be nice.

It's only a test engine. He/she hasn't designed any real levels yet.


Anyway, what MTC said about the running in one place at the beginning. It looks like his image_speed is 1 like the default when the room starts, and if so, change it so that it's 0 when the room starts. Also, it would be a good idea to make the Goomba disappear a short time after it gets killed.

Otherwise, pretty good so far. This might be your best engine I've seen yet.

love the accel/deccel, HATE the jumping. gravity is way too low.

also, post your code for collision with a mushroom block here, it needs a bit of work.

great so far, since you have accel/deccel, one thing you might also want to consider is to have variable gravity (low value when jumping, higher when falling) because the jumping speed is great but the falling is awfully slow.

Pretty nice engine, exept in most Mario games the mushrooms move, and he starts running really fast when you start the game. I think that by changing his original sprite that can be fixed.

It's because I didn't put the "image_speed = 0" in the room start event.
