Bee Movie, Movie Munchie #26 | 104

So Seinfeld was and still is one of my favorite shows. Ever since then the cast has been escaping the "Seinfeld" curse or at least trying too. Except Seinfeld himself who has been absent ever since that faithful 1998 send off. Here we are at his first real big movie since then, and I knew that this movie would at least bee okay. hehe pun
Well I was happy to see it wasn't just okay, but it was good. The original plot follows a bee just getting out of school to select a job for the rest of his life. Only he doesn't want to do that, he wants to see the world. What follows is a pretty funny plot with lots of dizzy sequences that are amazing CGI work at it's best. The character detail is nice, including Seinfeld's trademark sneakers. But some effects are simple fade in and out which really took away from the ending of the film.
The cast is pretty much unrecognizable, except John Goodman which is nice for a change. No songs or any lame show tunes put in but some perfectly timed jokes aimed at kids and adults alike. While it wasn't laugh out loud, it was funny and better then I expected. Worth your money for a good CGI flick.

The movie doesn't look that great OR sound great, for the matter, but what am I to judge a book by it's cover :<

I got to see it and it was ok. But it was a bit predicatable. There's only so much you can do with bees as the subject.

Not really.
The movie was thought up when Seinfield's tennis buddy said "Wouldn't it be funny if someone made a movie about bees and called it Bee Movie?"
Then Seinfield called Dreamworks and spent a couple years just thinking of a plot that didn't suck.

But still.
The movie looks okay, but not something I would expect from Bee Movie back when I played the demo of the game a year ago.

Me, Lemmy and some friends saw it launch day and thought it was amazing.

The way the CGI and animation was done amazed me, it looked real, but in an amazing, cartoonish kind-of-way. I liked it.

I'm about to see this. I am going to leave in like, five minutes.

From the trailers I've seen, it seems like there's zoophilia between a bee and a human girl D:

Didn't this hit a major plot change in development?

I might check it out, but I don't expect much from it. Jerry Seinfeld could never make me laugh. But i'll give it a shot.

Seinfeld's stand up wasn't ever as good as his show. And if you can't laugh at his show then you have no soul

It's only in like, one scene. Where he dreams about her. But that was the best part because

in the dream she crashed an airplane into a mountain, it exploded, then she fell out and exploded.

To be completely honest, that was the only part of the movie that I actually luaghed at.

It was still good though, kinda like shrek three wasn't funny at all yet I loved it.

I laughed alot during the movie, I thought it was hilarious.

I saw the Bee Movie. It was funny, but it still sucked.
