And that question is, should I replace it with a Nintendo DS lite, now I realise that my DS does work perfectly find and all (It's never been broken except the top screen, which got replaced) but my major issue is it's battery life. I am often finding that the DS does not last as long in battery life at all and I have expected this (It's probably got only %50 charge overall left compared to when it was new) so I will ask this, should I get a DS lite?

Well the Lite is more comfortable, has multiple backlite settings, and overall cooler looking. Plus, most accessories are now made with the lite in mind, not the original style DS.

I personally find the Lite a pain in the hands to hold. I also really wish Nintendo would stop pretending like the pre-Lite DS didn't exist and continue making goddamn accessories for it. ****ting on your early adopters (or any part of your market in general) is a bad idea

what I would REALLY like is a DS with the features of the Lite (backlight scalability, increased battery, maybe some way to leave a cut-out in SLOT-2 for Lite-size GBA paks) but with the form factor of the original DS.

scratch that, I'd like one with the look of the development one they first showed at E3. I loved that look

Yeah, we're being more lenient with the chat in the GC for now, but Help topics still do go in the Help forum.

Okay, this didn't immediately pop up as a help topic in my mind, but looking into it, it is, thanks. =P

And lightning, I agree with you on how Nintendo's lack of support is painful, if I could I would get a new battery, but they don't sell them here, so thats why I'm asking if I should get a Lite =P

Best to get a Lite if 50% of your battery life's permanently gone.

More play time, you can buy all the accessories for it, etc.

meh. I have a DS normal, and It still works fine (I even have wi-fi on it). If the time ever comes, i'll trade it in, but 99% of the software works on old as good as new.

I'm kinda careful holding my Lite because the ON/OFF switch is on the side.
But it's a good idea to get one.
You will have to change friend codes if you go on wifi with it though.
