There's a NES emu? I've only seen one beta vid of some dude having a slow SMB with non-multitouch...

nifty and certainly a notable achievement for emulation

however by no means should this be considered a reason to go out and get an ipod or iphone; they are very ****ty devices by a company that markets primarily to posers, tries to cover up criticisms, actively restricts what its customers can do with the products they purchase, etc.

if you want a good phone get nokia e70 (as we've all seen in maddox's article on the iphone, I'm sure), wait a while and get openmoko on neo1973, or if you trust google get their android when it's out
if you want a handheld device to emulate with, get gp2x. it can even emulate ff7 on psx
if you want a media player, gp2x does a decent job, I've heard good things about the iAudio, but personally I use my NDS

I say these things because I see people going "wow now I want an i*****" in this thread which is alarming !!!

GP2X for one was entirely meant for that, so getting an iPod ONLY for emulation would be stupid and insane. However, if you want an iPod touch and have a chance to get one cheap / win one, you should get it. Despite the company developing it and its family being a consumer abuser, it's still a great machine.
