There is no rule that says anything about sprites, it's all about 8x4 tiles, and not one tile has more than 3 colours + black. But if you'd like to try and prove me wrong, be my guest.

Not quite, although your colour limitations are accurate, the pixels in c64 are double the width of regular pixels.

Yes, see other people's entries that follow the rules.

They should be twice as wide as they are tall. So it would be best to sprite them first half as wide as you would normally. Then when you're all done, stretch the width 200% Look at my entry if you're confused. The left set is how I sprited them. The right set is how they turned out when I stretched it
