Personally, I think if it's along the lines of just getting your name shortened, then it shouldn't count as an actual namechange. However, if you want your name changed completely, then it'd count.

And is this being used still or not? Because I'd like to know if I could get my name changed to RetroX, since Retro is too cliché and RetroXYZ is too long.
