Isn't the gameplay kinda Guitar Hero but with more notes or something

I thought they looked closer to Pop'n Music's because of the rectangular shape.

Guitar Hero is just a Guitar Freaks ripoff anyways, but with two additional buttons and easier difficulty. The notes in this are also based off Beatmania, not Pop'n.
