That's not even a good screenshot of when there's too much on screen. I think you have to be a liar if you don't admit that it's hard to make things out at times.

In case you're wondering (and Nnnkingston as well) the game is done and it's in on the fangame board.

And personally, I think part of the fun of Geometry Wars is how hectic it gets when the screen is full of particles, though Retro Evolved 2 definitely went a little overboard at times.

The ships and powerups (not shown here) are all fully vector graphics, with bloom added to make everything pretty. Its gameplay is based around chain reactions; that is, shooting one enemy and making it explode can cause a chain in which other enemies around it explode in turn too.
