The Mario RPG/Brawl connection

Given that Saki is from a Treasure game, published by Nintendo, I'd figure Geno would get in without taking up a "third party slot", as while they'd need permission, he's still a Nintendo character. He may not be owned by them, but unlike the other two characters, he's from a Nintendo-only published series. I'm trying to think of a Nintendo character other then Saki and the Heririn trophy from SSBM that were from third party games published exclusively for Nintendo...

Maybe G&W is a secret character?!

It's off the subject of Geno, but may I point out how little sense using the name Touch Generations for icon 21 makes?

1) All we have that it goes with so far is the Pictochat stage. It could be stage-exclusive. The logo could refer to anything DS related.

2) Touch Generations has three different logos to represent it. NONE of them look like the dual screen logo. The games labeled under Touch Generations vary from region to region as well, with Europe extending it to Wii titles.

3) What on earth would Pictochat have to do with Touch Generations? The label is supposed to be "describing games created to appeal to a broader audience than the traditional gamer.". A built-in chat feature is not a game.

eh.. I think assist trophies are too much of a cop-out
they shoulda been like the wireframes and just be characters with smaller movesets that help you battle until they're KO'd.

Geno first appeared in super mario RPG as we all know. Then made his second appearance in ML:SS. Square Enix also created another charater of super mario RPG which was Culex if you don't remember, he was the purple demon dude with all crystals of all elements, anywho, Geno's appearnce in brawl would most likely be second part character not third or first. In his second appearance, SE was like "You can have him if you want we just designedhim for your game. he's now your property." His chances of being an assist trophy are more than becoming a playable character. So he has more of a chance of becoming AT. And Sakurai doesn't want this game to fail, so megaman is going to become [/CODE]the new 3rd party.

But seriously, I'm one of the few people you'll find that actually PLAYED SMRPG, And I love Geno =<. I don't care if he is Playable, assist, or just a sticker.

Put him in.

If Geno was an assist trohpy, He could use Geno Whirl.
But If he was a playable characther, that would be nice.

If he doesn't make it in as a playable character (and I really hope he does) and ends up being an Assist Trophy, the only thing I can imagine him doing is Geno Blast, before giving his little victory nod and turning into a star before vanishing.

If he's an AT, I don't care.

But he better not be a playable character. That'd be nothing but a colossal waste of space. Just about anything's better than the most out-of-place Mario character ever.

He has quite a history in games and for a long time appeared on Nintendo consoles and hand-helds.
Despite the lack of a good story, the Megaman series was very good (though not better than X and X3).

yeah but he also did a bajillion games on sony and even one of microsoft.

but still. Geno is leik second party so it's ok and he could be in wit megabutt.

3. If Geno indeed counts as a second party character (thus not a third party char), why not let him in too. He's not one of my favorites, but the more, the merrier.
By the way, why shouldn't CAPCOM approach Sakurai and ask him to add Megaman? The guys who made Metal Gear did that too for Snake.
