Putting a SA chao in SA2 from a VMU just gives you an ordinary chao with the same name, some fruits and maybe some stats (but neither game actually shows these stats so I dunno) IIRC. No glitching.

You're not even spoiling anything. I know there used to be a VMU chao editor that'd let you mess with physical appearance, so this was probably someone abusing that.
