Super Mario Galaxy 2D

Yea. I'm only downloading big games if I know this games gonna be worth it.
I myself try to keep my games in a low size by not adding random mp3s just for the sake of it.
But well, I dl'ed this one because I didn't know how big it was and the screenshots looked nice.
How long have you been working on this?

Also: Movement is slippery and the default controls are awful, but well, customizable.
The presentation is pretty good, but I don't know how much more is behind it because I didn't get very far. Also the lack of SUPER MARIO GALAXY ELEMENTS despite music makes this not a SMG 2D for me.

What do you mean by slippery controls? Actually i don't understand meaning of this word xD. Would be very nice if you could explain what is wrong for you. Every nice bonuses like Bee Mario, Pull Stars etc are avaliable from second mission (star). It would be awesome if you found all stars in game

This game is nice and hard, it is easy fall under the screen.

Mario slides too much. He decelerates too slowly. I hope this helps =)

Since the Internet connection at my friend's house sucks, I'm not going to download this right now. But here are some simple steps to compress MP3s (4MB to 500KB):

1. Download SUPER (possibly the best all-purpose encoder ever, and it's free) from http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html. The website is crappy and it has many hidden links, but the program is good.

2. Drag the MP3 from the folder into the SUPER program.

3. Set the file format to MP3.

4. Set the kHz to 22050 and the bitrate to 32 and click Convert.

5. You'll find the converted MP3 in the C:/Program Files/eRightsoft/SUPER/Output folder, assuming you installed SUPER in Program Files. It actually sounds the same as before too =P

EDIT: The presentation is really good and this has lots of potential, but the controls are slippery (and the default configuration is bad). Make Mario deccelerate slower and the game will be greatly improved.

Grrrr.... What is the jump button? If its in the game info... Aggg. I can't read that language.

You can set buttons in options.

Mario controls like he's always on ice. It's very hard and it makes a game that could be very enjoyable, just a chore to play.

Damn, did you play orginal marios? He isn't really sliding so much.

And I've Played SMB 1, 2, 3 World, NSMB, YI, YIDS, SM64 and SMS.

Its also that he takes a bit to long to start running.

When programming games you gotta remember what the players want, not what you want personally. The players think Mario shouldn't move like he's always on ice. To make them happy and want to play your game, you should change this!

But i can't make it smaller again. He needs some sliding and he actually doesn't slide so much... i got an idea

No, the problem is is that he needs more acceleration.

Raise his speed by 1 or 2.
