actually, setting the game's framerate to match your screen's refresh rate helps make any engine look about 10 times smoother

the only problem is that people usually run their monitors at different refresh rates that can screw the smoothness effect up unless you program your engine to move objects at different speeds depending on the framerate (>MMF1.5)

i put this extension on a level slightly lower than that of the openglx object

which itself is somewhat lower than the chain object
