The scene with the nurses in the hospital WAS really cool though. They were just like the game nurses. biggrin.gif

But they were the nurses from 2, which was awesome, but it made the chances of the scene in 1
Spoilers:
Where lisa becomes extremely upset and become one of the 1 nurses

entirely impossible.

I just wish they had stuck strictly to the first game, and saved all the two monsters for the second movie.

Symbolism and whatnot.

Plus, the overt transitions into the otherworld in the movie were nothing compared to the subtle ones in the games.

Spoilers:
Such as in 3, when heather runs to the door at the end of the second floor hallway, even though it's not on the map and in general shouldn't exist. She goes through it, and runs through this weird otherworldly tunnel with cages falling behind her constantly. Then she climbs up a ladder and ends up on the third floor, only it's nothing like the third floor she saw earlier, yet it's still the same place.

I guess they figured the average moviegoer would be too dumb to "get" something like that, instead going "Huh?? Why is she in the otherworld? She just climbed a ladder.." so they thought they had to make the transitions really obvious.

Once there was a shyguy who
came back to MFGG for one day to post,
then he went back to dreaming about ramen.

To Be Continued...?

Hence the problem with movies these days.

They assume that we're all complete idiots

Apparently Ebert liked Hitman, so that's not bad.

The people working on it generally don't know much about the game and the game makers don't work close enough with the movie makers to make sure it's good.

I like most game movies.
It's the movie games I dislike.

I've never seen the Silent Hill movie, but the Resident Evil ones were pretty good. :/
I mean, sometimes they'll randomly change tons of ****, completely removing any ties to the source material, but they're still cool.

the RE movies were so ****ty...

and the games that they base movies on have a solid enough plot to use IT for the movie rather then twist it around and make it retarded.

Movies do the games more justice than Saturday Morning Cartoons did.

Then again, so does pretty much everything.
