most probably, most of you don't but the few who do:
But god damn I ****ing hate fangames that want to go 640x480 fullscreen and **** with my resolution.
There's no windowed mode. You're not warned that its gonna go into uberlowres. It's so frustrating!

If I want fullscreen, I'll press alt-enter.

A new beta is out, click on the banner for more infomations.

An attempt to recreate mario bros 3's engine perfectly with some values taken directly from the rom and it is open source

Give it a try, even if it's open source, the levels are original and fun..

I've started a new topic because the other one died of inactivity. Don't let this one die.

Gameplay Video
Here's the last video, with the original 1-1 level and three new levels

Yeah when it changes my resolution it generally ****s everything up and then I can't see half the screen when I play the game, and afterwards any window I open ends up being really TINY. :[

I really dislike that. I have not yet run into one that screwed with my sound options (as far as I know), but I would really like my 640 X 480 games in a nice window.

Even mainstream games have this issue; there's no options for Audio/Video decisions anymore, let alone difficulty setting. It's a huge problem, and amateur developers would do everyone a great service to not be as narrow minded as the large corporations

...Difficulty settings?

Look at the old Mortal Kombat games option screens and compare them to say the option screen for... Guitar Hero III or Super Mario Sunshine. The only commonality is audio settings, beyond that, you have few to no choices about how GHIII or Super Mario Sunshine play. Arguably a game can become less enjoyable when it isn't setup as the designer intended, but the problem we have is that obvious things that should be choices and not mandates are not often something we can change. Use the Dual Shock as an example, the four face buttons are identical in their shape and function; but the game translates each differently, and in many cases you can't remap the buttons despite their being identical.
