November 28, 2007:

- The changes to the forum has so far proven to be positive to this message board's quality and integrity. Our suspensions have cut down so far, on average, from having two to three suspensions a day, to one/two suspensions every other day. If we continue, and members continue to abide by the rules and Member Expectations, then we could potentially decrease the size of our Banlist topic to two or three pages, rather than 6 or 7.

- The name changes policy is surprisingly at a low stream right now. Only about 15 names or so have been changed, and on a second positive aspect, we completely stopped all the name changing PM's, except for the ones that are the one-opportunity ones.

- The system upgrade was complete with no complications, although the reason it was done is visibly not present, therefore making it seem it was completely pointless.

- The CCC seems to have no problems as of yet, with the exception of complaints from members who do not have access, which was expected in the first place. But it will continue to be in trial mode for a few months, and subject to various changes. Only time will tell if it lives or dies.

The Unofficial Music Competition is having an initial test to see how well it goes. As of this post, there have been three entries submitted by Lightning, NICKtendo DS and me. If you've got even the slightest musical talent, JOIN IN NOW! Otherwise, be compelled to have a playlist of a bunch of Mario remixes.

- The two sub-forums, WIP/Sketch and the Sprite Rips, prove to be worth keeping, and are no longer in trial status.

- For some random reason, November 24th holds the highest amount of posts between the time the administration changed and November 28th, and is around 1000 posts higher than the second-highest.

- Stock investments for African watermelons have increased 32% in the last 2 years.

unless RII fixed attachments, they still want to open within the browser instead of opening the download dialog

EDIT: nvm they seem to be fixed

The test run is a couple of months? I expected only about a week or two.

Also I wanted to ask you about a music/sound rip forum

8 topics in 11 days doesn't scream "worth keeping" to me. I really don't think it would have made much of a difference if the sprite rips had been kept in the GC, especially now the CCC's replaced the PPP.

8 topics in 11 days does constitute worth keeping, that's a pretty good average that can help supress the amount of topics that would get pushed down in the Arts Board.

And also, I'm keeping the Sprite Rips forum in the FGD, for the reason I said, to act as a sprite rip archive that people can comment on and use. You know how hard it is to go back in the GC and search through hundreds of pages for a sprite?

And the test run is more than 2 months (though this itself might change), I plan on about five months or so.

I did notice the smaller amount of suspensions.

Also the number of reports I receive when I log on after school has dropped from the usual 10+ to around 3. (a 15 hour time span including sleep time).

However, it wasn't. RII said he needed some features introduced in newer versions of PHP and MySQL to make some things work. I'm guessing this includes the ability to restrict user access to forums based on post count and if they have certain badges or not. Most likely for the CCC.

I have also noticed the warn list has decreased recently. I think the Sprite Rips should be kept also, because DJY has a point.

I'm just comparing it to the WIP/Sketch one that got over 10 times that many topics in the same period. Just seems a bit... empty.

Hey. I could have sworn I replied to this topic already. My system upgrades are not pointless >:|

As for the rips forum, I say give it time. In the past when I ripped more, I would have liked a forum like that, but it never existed. Also, my PM sheets topics could probably get moved there.

I hadn't noticed the music comp. It also looks like bans are down too. It looks like the board is taking the turn for the better I never thought it would take.
