Well it's election day. Feel free to post any propoganda or "Go ____" stuff here.
As I'm typing this, Election Day is beginning on the east coast of the United States. Regardless of whose party you're affiliated with, this is the most important election our lifetimes. I was never involved in politics. Back when I was in 5th grade when the Gore-Bush elections were taking place, I blindly supported Gore because my parents supported him, and I knew he cared about the environment. Since September 11, my views on politics changed. We all followed our commander-in-chife, because if we couldn't turn to our president during a time of need, we had nowhere to turn to, and our country was hopeless. We, as Americans, wanted to band together and to unite in order to repay those who attacked us. Things have changed since then. The executive branch of the government has taken a considerably wrong direction in restoring a post-9/11 America. Those who were hit hardest by the attacks, the middle and lower class, received little to no benefit. Of the tax cuts Bush has given, over 80% was given to the top 1% of the American people, the wealthiest Americans. People in that group received tax cuts at or over $100,000, while the middle and lower class received much meager proportions. The money was given to the upper class supposedly to help bolster the economy, or possibly for special interest. The rich usually spend their money on the most expensive items, meaning the money will just circulate among the rich. By giving the money given to the wealthy to the poorer part of America, the economy can be rejuvenated. Our president made the wrong decision by giving tax cuts to the wealthiest. The executive branch also has very poorly managed the budget of the government. Without raising taxes, the government had no way to pay for the war on terror. However, the war on terror barely contributed to the total budget. The money spend giving the rich tax breaks cost nearly as much as the war on terror, bringing this country's surplus, the largest the country has ever seen, into the largest defict in history. I cannot express my displeasure with the handling of foriegn policy more. The United States has made a fool of itself to the world. Our president has abandoned alliances with our strongest allies, who would normally support us whether we go. Our president ignored the UN's weapons inspectors, who eventually turned out to be right the entire time. Our president changed our reasons for the invasion of Iraq depending on the general opinion of the public. All "weapons of mass destruction"-related invasion purposes are now replaced with the need to remove Saddam from power. Our president abandoned the world, and we need to bring it together. My biggest concern is with domestic policy. Regardless of what you here from any media outlet, biased in either direction, the government is winning the American opinion through fear tactics. Without any resolute way to stand on their current abysmal record, the government is attacking the opponent instead. When people believe Bush is doing a bad job, a terror alert is declared. Terror alert levels are shifted constantly to play us like a drum. Resolute leadership does not come from playing with the minds of the American people and scaring them out of voting for another candidate based entirely on the inability to prove anything positive for yourself. The Bush administration, quite frankly, is the worst administration in the history of Amreica. They have taken the country in the wrong direction economically. They have taken the country in the wrong direction as far as foriegn policy is concerned. They have destroyed trust with the American people by attempted to win through smear and scare tactics. These people have ruined our country. What is left to love about it? The environment is being destroyed. Jobs are being lost. Poverty is increasing. The nation is slowly but surely crippling. Can you truly trust yourself in thinking that these people are the only leaders who can possibly keep us in a steadfast direction in the war on terror, which has already cost more than 1000 lives and 10,000 limbs? Can you truly say that you these people would be resolute leaders who would defend us from another terrorist attack when they haven't even pursued the people who attacked us in the first place? Can we ever trust these people again?

It's going to be a close elction, and although I have no wish of it whatsoever, I think Bush will win. It's really fun how someone who has suceeded with all the things he has, even has the chance to be re-elected. The whole war Iraq, Accroding to swedish newspapers, was since Saddam had connections to al-qaida, a week later it was because he had nuclear weapons, and a week later he's driving straight over the UNs orders. Starting this whole war, which although a lot of USA's population agreed that they must, even though they had no idea where Iraq even was on a map, we must still bomb them, becuase they have nuclear weapons, well that's what Geogerie says. They did the same thing a while ago, and the people agreed that it maybe wasn't such a smart idea, now that the country hasn't been liberated, hell, if anything, there's only even more chaos then there was before. And it's gonna be the warmongers who are going to pay the whole phase where they build up the country yet again. And I would just quickly like to congratulate Denmark, who sent a freaking subamrine, and ten soldiers. Although they haven't fired a single bullet yet, they're still going to pay large costs to build up the country, congratulations.
The submarine, the seal, is really great, it has a high tech radar which makes it possible for it to lie on the bottom of the water, and send signals to ally ships immideatly if they sense any enemy ships around, that would freaking rock, if any saddam would've had any boats at all.

Do any of you how much it ****ing SUCKS to be 17 at this time? -I can't sign a contract, so I can't get my own video rental card or credit card, or both. -I couldn't go to my old mentor's retirement party because they were gonna have an open bar, which means alcohol, which means I have to be 21 or older. -I can't actually own any property. So my little idea to buy a few shares of Atari for the hell of it? GONE. -And, to stay on-topic, I can't vote.
Now, Fanguy, I need you to vote for me (cuz you are old enough) and write-in Mickey Mouse. Or Mario... wait, he's Italian, not American. Maybe Sonic... he's not old enough... grah, write-in Mickey Mouse. It's safer.

http://fuzzymath.ytmnd.comExplains all. "After my plan is in place the wealthiest Americans won't pay any tax at all." "It's money that my administration had borrowed--loading up IOU's for future generations. And you know what? We have spent the surplus. The real idea here is it's time to bust this economy. Let's get it done, once and for all." "So I signed a law that'll hurt our economy...we will take defensive measures against progress and pluralism, to help wealthy people get ahead." "After my plan is in place, all poor seniors will pay a higher percentage of taxes." "I am in power of the wealthiest Americans because they want a better rate of return, and the poorest of Amercians must be responsible." "In my mind, there is no doubt...that my plan is a drag on our economy." And my brother went and voted for Bush. >.>

Guys, no matter how much I want to Kerry to win, I say that terroist is gonna get back into power by some F'ed up technicality no one has ever heard of.
I also remember reading in somewhere shortrly after he was elected that he asseebled the richest bunch of congress or whatever its called in history ( Hey, I live in Ireland, so give me a break if I don't know these things )
4 years ago, I wanted to go and work in America, now I be suprised If I want to go on holiday there!
After seeing Fahrenhiet 9 / 11 and the war on ' terror ' in Iraq ( Its was nearly better off WITH Saddam! ) I see that they were just taking the P*** by attacking Iraq, distracting you americans and the world from his plan to steal from the poor and give to the rich.
Deomorcy is collasping, I know it, I can feel it, this election is gonna be swinged in Bushes favor, I just know!
Trust me, the World, not just America, is screwed if that TERROIST gets back into power!

Did you actually expect something here!?

Yes, I understand how much it sucks to be 17 right now. And actually, to my knowledge, you can own property such as stock (unless that's a state-specific thing).
