Yeah it's going pretty well so far. They can go down on them perfectly but I'm still having a few troubles with them going up. They interpret them as walls so they move around instead so I still have a few modifications to do.

Well for your question, I'm using my own scripts but it works as a mix of both. I'm using a for loop of x+=1 for a variable I made to replace hspeed. Kinda hard to explain ohmy.gif In overall I'm moving it one pixel at a time.

CODE
wholes = floor(abs(xspeed))
cx = sign(xspeed)
for(i=wholes;i>0;i-=1)
if (!place_meeting(x+cx,y,Solidblock)) x+= cx

This is not the script, just some parts of it, just to give you an idea.

A new beta is out, click on the banner for more infomations.

An attempt to recreate mario bros 3's engine perfectly with some values taken directly from the rom and it is open source

Give it a try, even if it's open source, the levels are original and fun..

I've started a new topic because the other one died of inactivity. Don't let this one die.

Here's the last video, with the original 1-1 level and three new levels

Hmm, well I couldn't really say I've been using it for 6 years but I did start using it in 2002. I've also started using gml really soon, the tutorials that were avaible on the official site at that time were explaining most of the stuffs in gml so we could learn pretty easily.

This one was waaay too glitchy.

But mostly there's something very wierd. I added a settings menu to Old smb a few days ago, and it looks very similer to yours. In fact, the first selection is difficulty (except easy or hard), then screen size, which is really wierd cause i have the exact same options for it (except full is an option for fullscreen), then the difference is i have which graphics to use, then mario or luigi, but then i do have the keyboard set options and exit... wierd.

Also, to keep all the blocks and coins in sync without keeping them all active, make and invisible, useless object that always stay active with 4 subimages and the same image speed, then the blocks set all there images to it.

Ok I have put a new beta version in the first post. It has much of the glitches fixed and I've also temporarily removed everythings that haven't been programmed yet to make it look better, except the unfinished levels but I've put a notice at the beginning of them. This, unfortunately, will be the last update for a while, well at least a month.

So give it a try, and let me know what you think about it.

I'd love to make something like this in MMF2, but that's too much work and Sonic games are usually made in it.

--------------------
Games:
Lost (action/adventure/platformer) 70% done (just need levels).
Information : Set in a world 50 years in the future, you, Sgt. Arminda Hemmingway become stranded on an unknown planet, in a unknown location, far away from Earth. All you have is your battle armor, weapons, and the will to survive.
