So yeah, I'm just popping in to represent the "not crazy" faction of atheists. I don't believe in an afterlife, et cetera, but I also don't really care if other people do, and I don't bother talking them out of it unless they want to hear it. I'm pretty disturbed when people make decisions based on the assumption there's something there after they die (religious fanatics who become suicide bombers thinking they'll be rewarded with paradise, people who kill themselves so they can see long deceased loved ones), but how do you talk somebody out of a belief like that? The most you can do is just let them know you disagree, give your opinion if asked, and hope they're interested enough that you can change their mind.
And with that, I'm out of this topic until it inevitably turns to hell (lol c wat i did thar) and I'm called back to lock it.
