given that most parties i attend are not attended by irrational retards who believe this crap i would say yeah i am

So in other words they're full of jerks who think everyone should think exactly as they do or they're irrational retards?

Very nice

When people ask me "Are you going to heaven or hell?" I say "Actually I am going to rebirth into another dimension where I shall continue my work serving the Swan by patching holes in time and dimensions for a greater future for all of Existance"

And then they will tell me that I spelled existence wrong, and I'll punch them in the face and they'll go "Ok you're going to hell" and I'll be like "ladies first *****" and punch them in the face again

I honestly resisting the urge to flame you.

So yeah good luck with that.

*skips vast majority of this topic*

So yeah, I'm just popping in to represent the "not crazy" faction of atheists. I don't believe in an afterlife, et cetera, but I also don't really care if other people do, and I don't bother talking them out of it unless they want to hear it. I'm pretty disturbed when people make decisions based on the assumption there's something there after they die (religious fanatics who become suicide bombers thinking they'll be rewarded with paradise, people who kill themselves so they can see long deceased loved ones), but how do you talk somebody out of a belief like that? The most you can do is just let them know you disagree, give your opinion if asked, and hope they're interested enough that you can change their mind.

And with that, I'm out of this topic until it inevitably turns to hell (lol c wat i did thar) and I'm called back to lock it.

QUOTE (Duckboy @ Dec 8 2007, 04:59 PM)
he wasn't attacking beliefs he was THINKING RATIONALLY!!!!!

Rational thought doesn't necessarily require the attack of somebody else's beliefs, which do not really add any validity to his argument, BUT if we're all going to keep going like this then the thread might as well be locked.
