Oh no! Princess Daisy has been kidnapped by an unknown evil person, so nobody other than Luigi sets off to save her! Apparently, this great evil has links with the King Koopa Bowser AND the local pizza shop, so Luigi will have to keep his guard up.

Especially since I only have one battle system engine test where you simply fight a Goomba, Koopa, Hammer Bro and Bullet Bill Launcher forever without losing any health. Which kind of makes the mushroom useless, but whatever. Luigi only has two attacks so far: jump and kick. Jump he.. well, jumps off the screen and lands on the enemy. Kick makes him walk up to the enemy and kick them. Oh yeah, you don't fight all the enemies at the same time. You press <Enter> to switch from one to another.

Enough talking, DEMO TIEM!

Nice but try to make an actual jump, not flying up flying down, use paths.

Using paths would make the jump feel extremely unnatural.

That depends, i made one time and it did feel more natrual than flying stright up out of screen and then stright down.

Yeah I'll do that. Also should I add action commands or not? Also should I do PM style overworld or something else?

EDIT: I'm having trouble with the path thing... I make him move along the path of the Hammer Bro.s Hammer at a speed of -6 and make him reverse when he gets to the end, and in the collision event of the enemy he makes it switch to it's hurt pose. Also, I set the variable absolute to true, and the path isn't closed. However, he simply starts where he is and then he jumps off the screen, then back on, then off again, then back on.

I'd add action commands. It's what makes Mario RPGs so awesome.

Looks pretty good! If I were you though, I would use MLSS sprites and make the jump seem more realistic. Maybe have him run up and then jump?
