Let's keep this topic nice and clean please.
With all competitions running all nice and easy, it has come to me that their is a growing number of people with interests in writing- that's when it hit me (i bet you know what's coming)
Literature Competitions.
These competitions would not have to revolve around Mario, unless the person hosting so chooses too, but it could be about anything- the set up would look kind of like this:
| QUOTE | Theme- Futuristic Setting- Desert Amount of characters allowed- 4 Minimum Words per Paragraph- 50
|
Voting of course, would be others voting for their favourite piece, where factors like length, description, device use and other implementations come into play. Of course there is plenty of room for improvement, but none the less, like all competitions, the time will come when it adapts to a more suitable rule.
Now, of course, I'm not trying to tell you i want it to happen, I'm trying to just give a suggestion in favour of fellow writers around MFGG.
So, now it's your turn- what do you think? do you think this could work, or do you think it'll die faster than the feeling of excitement on Christmas morning after all the presents are opened.

I'd honestly say, that play scripts would be acceptable, but it's just... well, bland, IMO, play scripts tend to be directions and way things are to be done and said, rather than a story telling in a vivid description, however, sometime play scripts can pull it off with description, if it's done well.

| QUOTE (Flametale @ Dec 10 2007, 11:53 AM) | Ok, i'll make a new topic now with the competition... though one thing, what are we to do with prizes?
Maybe we should use the first competition as a pilot before brining badges/prizes in, because this is a literature competition, we can't exactly draw the winner, and i think "Here's a story starring your character" is a pretty lame prize =(
Ok, so yeah, i'll post the new comp... if i should post it here? |
First should be a pilot, then if we keep it, we ask the mods really nicely to give out badges. What should the badge be of? I might be able to make it.
