anyways here's an update on my WIP entry. It's just lineart.

I agree with Ashura, why not just join for fun? Xgoff's looks good not because he is a good artist, but because he put time into it. Don't except to win with a 20 min drawing.

Why? Maybe nobody said anything because there is nothing to complain about.


I think it's a good job.

Thicken the outline around each character, imo.

Leave the inner lines thin.

Wow! That is just too good to be fake. For a second there I thought it was a photo graph. Really good picture really scary though.

Love the way you handled the grass, and the inside of the mouth (teeth). Don't really care for the spots though... mostly because, there's no real texture in the red to back up that sort-of plant-like blend you're going for.

The shape of the head's a bit weird... and I don't just mean in compariison to the standard, but it's kind-of an off-blob... but, yeah, the places where you use repetitive markmaking, blow my mind.

And, Ashura

it's looking awesome, I wouldn't worry too much about the lines, they seem fine and anything that needs fixing can be done with the colors. Well, I'd try to get a bit better motion in the pipe itself, and make sure to have more things springing up like the plant is, to emphasize it's jack-in-the-boxyness (that's how I'm sort-of reading it's motion)

actually i never finished the head, but yeah i can see what you mean (shapewise it's supposed to be a cross between a cone and a sphere, though more of the sphere should be showing)

the leaves' outlines took forever, actually, since painter's 1px brush takes a ton of time to lay color down, and my hand was literally throbbing near the end

i hope you weren't talking about the grass because i knocked that out pretty quickly; i can draw around 3-5 blades per second, though obviously highlighting them kinda slows it down to like 1 every 2-3 seconds
