I'm trying to get my site to validate, but am being told that I can't use bg colour or width for the td property
CODE
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en" >

<head>
<title>An XHTML 1.0 Strict Standard Document</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type"
 content="text/html;charset=utf-8" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="stylesheet.css" />
</head>

<body>
<h1>Heading 1</h1>
<h3>Popular links: </h3>

<table width="100%" border="0">
 <tr bgcolor="#909000">
   <td width="120px">
    Navigation Links</td>
   <td><h2>Header 2</h2></td>
 </tr>
</table>

 <p>
   <a href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=referer"><img
       src="http://www.w3.org/Icons/valid-xhtml10"
       alt="Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict" height="31" width="88" /></a>
 </p>
</body>
</html>

Well yeah that's uh, not good HTML
CODE
<table width="100%" border="0">
<tr bgcolor="#909000">

Change it to
CODE
<table style="border-width:0px;width:100%">
<tr style="background-color:#909000">

Difference is not visible
But it's valid XHTML, see?

yeah you're going to have to use CSS for practically everything now

be happy that validators can't tell what you're doing with your tables, because they'd flip if they detected you were using tables instead of <div>s for layouts
