Yep, game maker.
And they are snapped to 16x16, but some of the tiles I use apparently arn't alligned right or something, but i'll get that fixed soon.

If it's Game Maker I can debug too if you want. I have minor experience with it.

As for the tile issue, not to worry. I could even make a full tileset if you need.

You can team up with Spritey and come up with some really good sprites.
But man, I hope you guys arn't dissapointed when I release the demo, I couldn't handle everyone being hyped up and then you think its not good. Not saying its bad, its just I have nobodys opinion on it other than mine, which I cant judge my own game, so...
Oh, and spritey, it would be GREAT if you would do the whole tileset!
Save me alot of pressure...
Also, think you could come up with a health bar like in the screenshots?

And don't worry about the demo not being good. As I said, I could fine-tune it if you wish, and it looks good so far anyway.

EDIT: Holy ****, Phage's Project Everything sprites are amazing. He could definately show me a thing or two.

As said before, yes.
Used it since I was a little kid, still use it now that i'm older.

Also, 100 coins = Star.
Also as something that wasn't in sm64 finding a large coin will = star (They will be hidden well and have trickery that your mind cannot and will not comprehend....)

Looks good, just one thing: The tile you used for the right edge of the island was supposed to be a transition between the grass and dirt tiles. There's a tile I made for the edge of the grass.

Now enough discussing about that,
the actually demo will contain most of the battlefield level, most of Mario's moves, stars, coins, red coins, enemies, cannons, you name it.
