SM64's desert level was my favorite level in the game, SMS's ... well, it didn't have a desert level, so scratch that, and SMG's desert level was my favorite level in the entire game aswell. If a 2D game actually had a good batch of desert levels, it would be awesome. Heck, Cave Stories desert themed cavern was my favorite place in the game aswell. I voted Doomship because it's not only got the awesomeness that others have said, but it's more flexible than any other type of level, even if it has fewer elements. For example, who said all the airships had to be flying one way? You can't get that sort of thing with any other level.

I love the close call platforming where it poses as a challenge and you're supposed to jump all over the place and avoid falling. It sucks that with 17 years of Mario experience, nothing seems hard anymore

Add an "other" option just in case.

If you're looking to be confused, make word filters changing all vowels to a certain letter (I suggest to a vowel), all for read-only, and loose. For example, with all vowels turned to "i"...

Group: Members Posts: 6007 Member No.: 4259 Joined: 13-August 07 Status: (0d)	Desert levels are my favorite, mainly due to the amazing potential that they hold To me, the most awesome level in SM64 was shifting sand land, due to all the amazingly cool things added into it, plus, the pyramid was just badass. In all the BK games, Gobi Desert was (In my opinion) the most awesome level, mainly due to the awesome design of the entire place, plus the sphinx dude was so badass (You had to shoot eggs up his nose for christs sake) I'm a big fan of desert levels, and sadly, I have yet to see a good one in a fangame (The best so far is the desert world in paper bowser world operation G.R.O.M.)
