2 things.

1. Thank you Lizardman, thank you for using a boss that nobody thinks about. As sarcastic as this may seem, I'm being dead serious. Predictable bosses = No. Boxing Penguin from WL = Yes.

2. I've seen this in loads of fangames. I'm not pointing out any games in particular, but I freaking hate when a developer takes a bigger than usual goomba, gives him a little amount of health(3 is a re-curring number, lets use that) and then has the nerve to call it a boss. For the love of God, thats not a boss, its a bigger than usual goomba with 3 hits.

And please guys, huge bosses does not = awesome.
I've seen fangames that have huge bosses and your like "This is going to be epic" but all you have to do is stomp on them or whatnot.
Heck, they even did that with SMG with goomba's and beetles!

I tried to give shock value with the last boss in Not Mari0 Pr0n.

dunno if it worked, because as far as i know, no one's beaten it yet.
it was originally going to be chuck norris as the final boss- NOW THAT, would have been total failure.

Well, I used a Big Goomba as a boss in Mario goes Retro, but I have a boss for about every level the game has. (All bosses are 8-bittish) I have Smithy, Shadow Mario, Bowser Jr., Tatanga, Big Blooper, Boshi, Hookbill Koopa (not fought in the same way as SMW2: YI), Waluigi, Kamek, 16-bit SMB Mario, Fry Guy, LakiThunder, Bowser, Ztar assisting Bowser Jr. and Big Goomba in other battles and 2 enemy groups (defeat all enemies in the boss room to clear the level). I was planning on using Wart as a final boss, but the game was scrapped because of a crash.

If you make bosses, try to think them like TD did in the Pipe Monster in TSB. You know, that world 4 boss, the giant pipe? Could anyone actually have thought of it? I just thought it was going to be another booooring battle with an oversized Piranha Plant, and all of sudden, I'm face to ace with a giant pipe. That HAS to be one of the nicest moments in Mario fangaming history.
And yeah, I'd rather see unique and nice bosses than "OMG GOOMBA BIGGED UP BY KAMEKZOR ROTFLMAO!". At least add something funny to that formula like TD did. And no, I'm not trying to be TD's favorite, I'm just speaking the truth.
