I don't think it's a good idea to assign roles to everyone outside of say, programming. I think it would be better to have a system where something is requested and anyone can make it.

For example, say we needed a SMB theme tune; rather than have Yoshiman do all the work or person b or person c, anyone in the community should be able to have a go without having to "sign up" previously, then we can all judge from there. I'd love to help out on some things but I don't want to really dedicate myself to doing sprites or whatever because of future time/mood/skill restraints. However, at the same time, it wouldn't look nice to see Bacteriophage/Nova/whoever struggle to take care of every spriting aspect on board just because nobody else bothered to register in advance.

The reason we probably need at least one dedicated programmer for each side is to actually make sure a game is made, rather than bits and bobs. Don't think that's the case with anything else. The person who sprites Mario doesn't neccessarily have to be the one who sprites Luigi, but no doubt the programmer will have to do both or otherwise we risk portentially huge delays.

Peardian: General artist does the drawings/general art for the game, to be used in title screens/still-frame cut-scenes/the such.


Black Squirrel: That's essentially what this is. We'll have enough people for each category to have two or more people to request a certain thing, so that if one isn't available, another is. It's more of a "database" to compile so we actually know who can do what. Also, that's why I ask for three abilities, put their best ones up there, and then if they want to do something in a different category, then their third ability isn't put up there, but they can still do it if they wish.

If allowed to do so, I could try and make some critters that look morbid but still Mario-y, as to something not belonging to the Mushroom Kingdom realm. Seriously doubt we're going to follow the story details I suggested, but it would be interesting nonetheless

I could generalize that, too, actually. I initially split it off because every category was split off in the first place.
