You guys think Wavedashing will be in Brawl?

I hope so. Most cunning and kickass trick for a smash game ever!

it's a glitch, so it's pretty uncertain

it doesn't matter anyway considering all the new stuff they're adding

God, I hope not.
That's the reason they took away the directional airdash in Brawl.
I just hope they can bring it back without adding the wavedashing.

but wavedashing makes no difference at all. I couldn't wavedash and then, I beat a guy who could.

Yea, wavedashing just makes you faster. It doesn't make you win more or less really, and can even make you more susceptible to attacks. I think the fear some players have of it stems more from the fact that SSBM players that are actually good at the game can usually do it, and so they automatically assume that's the reason WHY they're good.

In any case, I doubt it will be in Brawl anyway.

idk but anything that a player has to spend time with the game to be able to acheive should be banned.

I guess you guys missed it when all the little Smashheads who went to E for All **** themselves over the lack of the "wave dashing" glitch

Wavedashing was just the result of game physics, doing an air dodge angled towards the ground caused you to keep the momentum. Be it to shake up the metagame or just to change things up in general, the air dodges are different and thus traditional wavedashing is gone, and people who abuse physics are already apparently looking for other advanced tricks to take advantage of other features... like tripping on your face into a combo.

Some peeps who went to E 4 all and apparently they couldn't wavedash.
It apparently looks like it's not in Brawl at all.

I was at E for All and I can confirm, 100% that wavedashing is NOT in Brawl.

For the record, Wavedashing isn't what makes someone good, Mind games are. Wavedashing, however, is a tactic that is used most of the time for said mind games (Which is really exactly what you said :P)

And to clarify, the reason wavedashing is so scary is it's one of a handful of movement tricks that keeps slower running characters like Peach moving 4x faster than they should be, which presents a problem for a ton of characters

There have been reports from the SmashBoards, so take this with a grain of salt, that it was removed. I hope it is because I found it to be cheap and it gave a person a distinct advantage.
