Hokay, boys and girls. I for one am sick and tired of "WHERE CAN I FIND MUSIC OF TONY HAWK BARGAIN HUNTER 25?" thjreads in Help. But am I gonna whine and moan about it! Hell no! I save that for political threads. So, in order to try and lower the political thread count here, here are various game music formats, and the neccesary downloads. Converting them to useable formats is easy, I'll explain it later.

MIDI
That old chestnut, MIDI is a ancient sound format where songs are "sequenced", and played by synths provided by your sound card.
VGmusic

NSF
NSF files are audio data ripped from old NES games, emulated by the program or plugin playing it.
Zophar NSF Archive and Players

SPC
SPC files are memory dumps of the SNES SPC-700 sound chip. They contain whatever sound data is playing at the time (usually songs).
Zophar SPC Archive and Players

GBS
OK, look at the NSF description, but substitute "NES" for "Classic Gameboy" and "NSF" for "GBS"
Zophar GBS Archive and Players

PSF
There's two varieties of audio on the Playstation family of consoles: Sequenced, like in SNES games, and Streaming, which is like Audio CD tracks. This is for the Sequenced stuff.
PSF Central - PSF archive and Winamp Plugin, among other related paraphenalia
Zophar PSF and PSF2 archive, and links to other PSF archives.

USF
Still in development, the USF format is much like PSF, but for Nintendo 64 audio.
USF Central - 64th Note plugin for Winamp and USF archive
Zophar's archive + links

GSF
The newest kid on the block, GSF is the *SF format for Gameboy Advance audio. Yes, you heard that right.
GSF Central - you know the drill
Zophar's yada yada

There's also formats for Sega systems, but we won't be worrying too much about those, will we? I thought not.

I'll update this post when I damn well feel like it, on how to use these game rips in your games! OH, JOY!

Okay, i'm REALLY interested in the GBA one, because I like a lot of the music on it and most of the time you can't rip it unless you have total silence. And the N64 one too, i'll have to give them both a try.

K, so I download the gsf plugin and installed it, but Winamp will only open the gsf files but won't actually play them. What am I missing?

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. YAY

I'm not available for battling at this time, because Nintendo thought it was a good idea to completely remove Ditto hunting from Pokemon Platinum.

I'm not too sure of the quality of some of the Playstation/PS2 music.

What about MP3s?

Personally, I use the Disk Writer output plugin that comes with Winamp to record the song to WAV, then edit and convert to MP3 in a sound utility.
