I've been working on this for a while now and it works pretty good now. The only glitches I've seen were just graphical errors (only happens if you hold down a buch of keys at once type thing). It currently only has the Fire Ability but I hope to add more. Don't mind the Kirby to the left, he was just there to test the speed of the blink animation.

Damn you Elyk! But to stray away from the PPP-ness of the post, the engine ain't bad. Kinda smoothish, it works, and the bending fire effect was NOICE . Only problem was the one mentioned earlier about not jumping when full, but thats not a complete problem to fix, so I'm gonna ignore that.

The only reason I didn't have jumping when full was because I didn't have a sprite for it. I played it again today and it has the walking animation while jumping.

Good engine overall, 8/10.

There was something that wasn't quite right - when the screen resets (new game or after falling off the stage) I ran into the Hothead, and instead of getting damaged, inhaled it instead. It seems that this may only happen when the Hothead just begins to blow fire.

Also, to fit a little bit more into the Kirby style of gameplay, would it be possible to have a bouncing ability star?

As said before, this is a good engine overall. Very smooth (which is good for games such as Kirby). Other comments are what others have said already. Well done and keep working on this.
